Majestic New Year Status Update

Majestic Software, the company behind the famous Q400 aircraft have released a New Year status update focusing on their Q400 Training Edition and the Q300.

In a post to their Facebook page, the development team said: “It’s a new year and while we have been somewhat very silent we have been very busy behind the scenes. We have been able to complete the touch screen functionality for the main and index panels, along with the macros allowing users to have the capability of spinning knobs on the touch screens. Closer to the finish line, but not quite there yet, as we still need get the FDR aspect completed.

“I know most of this sounds boring to most of our Dash fans, but the TRAINING Edition has also been a important part of our product line.

“With the recent release of Prepar3D v4.4 a few new features have been made available for which we have been getting many requests regarding our plans for implementing rain effects, dynamic lighting and the recently made feature PBR to the Q400. Well in bits and pieces, I have responded cautiously in this area, as we have not made a firm decision as to our plan moving forward. Our modeler has been tasked with checking into the feasibility….more information on this when a firm decision has been made.

“And yes I know the burning question most folks are wondering about ….what about the Q300 v2?

“On a daily basis we receive questions regarding progress updates. This is the year that we certainly plan on going full force on the Q300 v2.

“Is there a specific time frame? Upon completion of the Q400 TRAINING Edition.

“We too have a burning desire to get back into the Q300 development as it is long overdue. However, in a nutshell, we will give updates when there is substantial information to share, and no, the project is not dead, just moving at a slower pace than the Q400 TRAINING Ed.

“As always we thank you all for your continued support, and we wish everyone a safe and productive 2019.”
