Forget Smart Glasse! Pickle Wants to Give Your AI a “Soul”

ACalifornia startup called Pickle is trying to move past the “smart accessory” phase of wearables with its new Pickle 1, a pair of AR glasses it’s boldly calling a “soul computer.” The big hook? It doesn’t just show you notifications; it actually remembers your life.

Running on a custom Pickle OS, these 68-gram glasses use built-in cameras and microphones to observe your world in real-time. The idea is to create “memory bubbles”—digital clusters of your experiences—that the AI uses to anticipate what you need. Think of it as a digital companion that remembers a conversation you had last week or notices you’re looking at an empty fridge and offers to order your usual groceries before you even ask.

Its Technical Specifications Are Surprisingly Robust!

The tech specs are surprisingly solid for a startup: a full-color AR display powered by a Snapdragon chip and a battery rated for 12 hours. It even features a built-in fingerprint scanner on the frame so only you can access your “memories.”

Of course, the “always-on” nature of a device that records your life is already sparking major privacy debates. Pickle claims everything is encrypted and processed locally, but for many, the idea of a “soul computer” is as creepy as it is cool.

If you’re ready to take the plunge, pre-orders are open now for $799 (with a $200 refundable deposit), and shipping is slated to start in Q2 2026.
